The idea of an innovative part of the city is giving rise to the new Krampnitz urban development quarter. A major project such as this requires forces that are united. Entwicklungsträger Potsdam GmbH, a subsidiary of ProPotsdam GmbH, is in charge of urban development, road construction and social infrastructure. Together with them, project developers such as BUWOG are working to lend the individual developments a distinctive design, to refurbish and to modernise the existing buildings, and to construct well-conceived new buildings.

A vision comes to fruition when it is shared – and developed together.

What do people need?
What does the future need?

These questions come up in every urban development. But the answers to them are different today than they were in the past. Entwicklungsträger Potsdam GmbH had the opportunity to take free rein in the planning for Krampnitz and therefore has the capacity to develop what people there need today and in the future.

Such as: Numerous places for human interaction. A beautiful cityscape. Local amenities within walking distance. Routes that people like to walk or cycle. But first and fore most: Child friendliness. There will be daycare centres,
schools and plenty of play areas on site and, where possible, no busy roads.
