The sustainable setting: Entwicklungsträger Potsdam GmbH’s planning for the Krampnitz urban development quarter

Forward-thinking energy concept:
From geothermal to solar energy, Entwicklungsträger Potsdam GmbH’s consistent focus is on renewable energies for the Krampnitz urban development quarter’s energy supply. The aim is to achieve a CO2-neutral heat supply for the development as a whole.

Forward-thinking mobility:
With few exceptions, there will be no cars parked in public spaces in the Krampnitz development. Instead, they will be parked in car parks located close to every home. The space that would otherwise be taken up by parked cars will then be available for people. Mobility ser vices such as car, e-bike and cargo bike sharing as well as the well-developed public transport network have also been taken into consideration by Entwicklungstr.ger Potsdam GmbH and are being implemented step by step. They provide attractive alternatives to owning a car.

The Krampnitz development will feature seven daycare centres, two primar y schools and a comprehensive school with a grammar school. The daycare centres will be distributed throughout the development. When
moving into your new home in BUWOG ALVA, you and your family will thus find a primary school for 600 children and a daycare centre with 160 places.

In addition to the construction of public squares, the focus is primarily on the natural design of parks and green spaces. The centrepiece of Krampnitz will be the seven-hectare Nordpark with its diverse vegetation – a local recreation area the size of seven football pitches. There is also an extensive green border that frames the development and provides an space to breathe.

Approximately 10,000 people will live in the Krampnitz urban development quarter in the future. The plan therefore includes shopping facilities within walking distance, caf.s, small shops for daily needs, doctors’ surgeries and more. That means you can reach everything you need quickly and easily – on foot or by bike.
